Digital interoperability
Better digital interoperability means that data, models and tools flow seamlessly throughout the entire process, from planning to finished result.
Modern products are developed across disciplines, tools, departments and companies.
Often, data, models and tools do not fit together. Because of this, information can be lost, work has to be done several times and errors can be discovered too late.
Better digital interoperability is therefore a common thread in all the work packages in SFI CELECT.
Better interaction
We are researching how information can flow seamlessly between disciplines, between the levels in an organisation and throughout the entire life cycle.
This applies to the interaction between complex systems and companies, between digital tools in product development teams, and between mechanical, electrical and control engineering domains, supported by artificial intelligence.
More with less, and faster
The goal is simple: to do more with less, and faster. Better interoperability and hybrid physical and AI-based models shall, among other things, halve the need for physical prototypes.
The result is shorter development time, less waste and better decisions.
