Learning Ecosystem

We develop flexible learning programmes with industry to strengthen competence, innovation and productivity in Norwegian industry.

To solve the challenges of the future within systems engineering, we must collaborate across disciplines.

In SFI CELECT, we are building an ecosystem for learning and skills development together with industry, INRESCOS and the industrial master’s and bachelor’s programmes, to strengthen innovation and productivity in Norwegian industry.

What are we researching?

We are researching how, together with companies, we can develop modular, industry-integrated learning programmes that give employees effective skills development in systems engineering, artificial intelligence and digital product development, tailored to the needs of the Norwegian product industry.

We are also investigating how the new ecosystem model between industry and higher education can contribute to a boost in skills for today’s and tomorrow’s workforce. Experiential learning, where theory is closely linked with practice, is central to developing competence quickly.

Will map the needs in industry

The work starts by mapping the current status and knowledge needs throughout industry, including outside the consortium. This forms the basis for courses and flexible educational programmes for lifelong learning, linked to existing training systems at the partners.

USN’s award-winning industrial master’s programme in systems engineering is included as a further education pathway for practitioners.
